Michael J Roeschen

Michael J. Roeschen, 54, passed away at St. Mary's Medical Center after battling cancer on Sunday, May 19, 2002. Born on June 29, 1947, to John and Helen (nee: Olszewski) Roeschen, Michael was a lifelong Racine resident. On December 1, 1979, he married the former Sharon Razdik. Michael served his country with the United States Army and was stationed in South Korea. He worked for Waste Management since 1993. Michael enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. In addition to his loving wife, Sharon, Michael's survivors include a son, Matthew Roeschen; daughter, Kayla Roeschen, all of Racine; mother, Helen Johnson of East Byron; brother and sisters, Terrence (Marlene) Roeschen of Burlington, Pam Johnson of East Byron, and Judy (Doug) Zuelke of Waupan; mother-in-law, Ethel Razdik of Racine; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joseph (Pat) Razdik, Marge (Loren) Clark, both of Racine, and Dan (Claudia) Razdik of Portland, Ore.; very dear friends, Bill and Sandy Redmann of Racine; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. His father, John Roeschen; grandmother, Ann Roeschen; step-father, Nels Johnson; father-in-law, Joseph Razdik; and close friend, Bud Abbott, all preceded him in death. Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Friday, May 24, 2002, at 11 a.m. for his Funeral service with Rev. Cary Winn officiating. Burial will follow in the Southern Wisconsin Veterans' Memorial Park of Union Grove. There will be a visitation in the funeral home on Friday from 10 until 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested. The Roeschen Family would like to thank Dr. Odders, the nurses at the Cancer Center, Dr. Vesole and his staff at the BMT Unit at Froedtert Hospital of Milwaukee, Betsy Heinitz (Michael's occupational therapist at All Saints), and the Intensive Care Unit at St. Mary's for the care given to Michael during his illness.
