RACINE - Cheri L. Thompson, 56, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2004, at St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee.

Cheri was born in Racine on October 26, 1947, to William and Marion (nee: Fromm) Thompson.

She was a member of First Church of God, the ASPCA and PH Central. Cheri loved cats.

Survivors include her sister, Sandra Larsen; brother and sister-in-law, William R. (Peg) Thompson Jr.; sister and brother-in-law, Lynn (Marc) Tower; step-mother, Joy Thompson; nieces and nephews, Terri Meyers, Blake Thompson, Theodora Thompson, Jacob Tower and Jeremy Tower; great-niece, Autumn Hoover; aunts and uncles, Irene Fromm, Gene and Donna Fromm; special friends, Dan King and Colleen Allen; and her special feline friend, Missy. Cheri is also survived by cousins, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Marion and George Porter; her father, William Thompson; nephew, Ross Thompson; two cousins; and her grandmother, Elsie Fromm.

A Memorial service for Cheri will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. at First Church of God, 1650 Lathrop Avenue, with Rev. David Andrews officiating. Interment will take place in West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to First Church of God.
