In Memory

Margaret Pratt-Davidson

Margaret Pratt-Davidson

Margaret Louise Pratt was born on April 9th, 1947. Margaret married twice.  Margaret is survived by her two sons, Steven and Michael and a daughter, Karen Davidson Jackson.  She died way too young on March 5th,1984 at only 36 years.

"I was amazed to see my mother's picture on your site. My name is Karen Jackson (Davidson) and I am Margaret's daughter. Your site is accurate that she also has two sons who still live in Racine - Michael and Steven Christopherson.  She attended UWM (graduated from UWM) and Marquette and became a nurse. She worked in several nursing homes in Racine as well as provided home care.  Besides her children and grandchildren,  she is also survived by a brother, Robert, who resides in Mississippi.   I believe Robert also graduated from Park - a year before her.  If you need any additional information about my mother, please feel free to contact me. Thank you again for posting her picture - it was so very touching!" - Karen Jackson

I just remember walking to classes with her and remember her being so nice and so sweet. She left us way too soon.

Margaret lived down the street from me on Russet Street - right next to Barb Diehl.  What I remember most about Margaret was her sense of humor - we did a lot of laughing walking to school.  What a shame that she died so young.

Sadly I didn't know Margaret in school. However, after reading her "In Memory" page, I realize I was fortunate to know her boys. I actually taught both at St. Sebastian School. Mike  was in some of my classes for 4 years, and he was very special to me, as he knows. Unfortunately I believe I only had the privilege of teaching Steve for a year, but he was also a kind, gentle boy. Certainly Margaret left us way too soon, but her legacy lives in these boys as well as in her daughter.

Recently met 2 of Margaret's terrific children, Karen and Steven.....shared photo's and stories of their Mom from birthday parties and kite flying at Johnson Park.  They had never seen a photo of Maggie at such a young age, as well as pics of Doc and Mrs. Pratt. Wondering if any other classmates from Fratt, McKinley, might have memories or photo's of her to share.......they would be so grateful.  They have Prom photo, i don't recognize her date .....anybody know who this is w Maggie?

Margaret was my best friend our senior year in high school.  We had many classes together and our friendship continued at UWR.   I often wondered how her children were doing.  I believe her prom date was Bill Harvey.  The dated as seniors.  I have so many warm memories.  So many laughs.  I would love to share them with her children.
