
RACINE - Arthur A. Lieske, 77, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 with his family by his side.
Art was born in Racine on August 4, 1946 to the late Oscar and Mary (Sus) Lieske. He was united in marriage to Roxanne Bollom in Racine on July 17, 1982. After graduating from Washington Park High School, he served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968. Art retired from J. I. Case (CNH) in 2004, later working part time at Pick-n-Save, which he loved, retiring in July 2021.
When Art wasn’t talking to his Conure bird “Buddy”, he enjoyed bowling, fishing, camping, gardening, rummage sales, woodworking, putzing with and fixing various things. Art loved to watch and was dedicated to the Packers and Brewers. More than anything, Art will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor.
He will be missed by his wife, Roxanne; children, Robert (Deborah) Lieske, Renee Kelly, Elaine Bullis, Allen (Christine) Lieske, and Ramon (Faryn) Benedict; grandchildren, Morgan, Shayla, Ethan, Mia, Evan, Hailey, Kara, Allison, and Christian; siblings, Mike (Natalie) Lieske, Mary Ann (Dave) Melby,
Delores Lieske and Dennis Lieske; sisters-in-law, Gail Maier and Brenda Lehman, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Art is preceded in death by a nephew, Patrick Lieske, brothers-in-law, Gary (Gina) and Arnie (Lynn) and his in-laws, Norman and Elberta Bollom.
A celebration of Art’s life will be held at Sturino Funeral Home on Friday, June 14, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. There will be a visitation at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Parkinson’s Association and Alzheimer’s Association.
