
Ronald W. Katt passed away on September 10, 2024, at home in Simi Valley, Calif. surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. Ron was born on July 6, 1947 in Racine, Wis. to parents William and Rose Katt.
Ron moved to California when he was 18. After several years there, he returned to Racine and attended UW-Parkside. After graduating, he returned to California where he began a career in supply chain management. His employers included ITT Aerospace, HR Textron and Northrup Grumman where he worked on the B2 bomber. After retiring, Ron became an enthusiastic volunteer for the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library serving as a docent for 7 years. He loved meeting new people and had the opportunity to meet several celebrities. Ron especially valued time spent with his family and grandchildren. He was encouraging to all in whatever they chose to do.
Ron is survived by his wife of nearly 42 years, Evelyn Katt of Simi Valley, Calif., his children Ted (Jaylene) Katt of Bishop, Ga., Sean (Nikki) Katt of Thousand Oaks, Calif. and Andrew Katt of Simi Valley, Calif. He is also survived by his brother William (Diane) Katt of Kenosha, Wis. and sister Sharon (Keith) Laake of Queensbury, N.Y., grandchildren Tyler Katt, Kylie Katt and Noah Katt, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will take place at the Conejo Mountain Funeral Home, 2052 Howard Rd, Camarillo, CA 93012 at 2 p.m. on September 28th. A reception with light refreshments will follow.
