I am so sad!   I just now read this post about Bill.  He and I had struck up an ongoing conversation when we became reconnected through this reunion website.  Hadn't seen him since high school, but we shared memories from junior high at McKinley.  He sent me photos of his wife and kids and grandkids.  He talked about being in the navy during the Vietnam war.  I knew he had severe COPD.  He mentioned that he needed his oxygen on 24/7 and how he spent most of his time in the basement living area because climbing up and down stairs was so difficult.  He told me how hard it was for him to not be able to help his wife with chores.  When I told him that I looked forward to meeting him again at the reunion, he replied that he didn't know if he'd still be alive then.  I guess he knew his time was coming to an end.  Suddenly, the communication stopped and he never responded to an email I sent at the end of July.  Now I know why.  Maybe I will go visit his grave to say goodbye.  Had hoped to say hello first...
