Linda E. Coombs

RACINE - Linda E. (nee: Sheeder) Coombs, 53, passed away at her residence on Sunday, August 13, 2000. She was born in Adair, Iowa on July 20, 1947, daughter of Kenneth and Helen (Nee: Lehman) Sheeder. She was united in marriage on April 8, 1967, in Racine to Robert N. Coombs. Linda was employed by Ganton Technology for 35 years. She was an active participant with the Outreach and Relay for Life programs for cancer. Survivors include her husband, Robert; her son, Kenny (Debra) Coombs of Racine; step-children, Todd Coombs, Tammy (Rollie) Benzol, and Dale (Robin) Coombs, all of Racine; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; father, Kenneth Sheeder; two brothers, Virgil Sheeder and Larry (Donna) Sheeder; three sisters, Marleen (Robert) Frohlich, Darleen (David) Christensen, and Twila Sheeder; sister-in-law, Gail (Dick) Christensen; brothers-in-law, Everett (Gail) Coombs, Vilas (Trudy) Coombs, and Virgil Coombs; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Sheeder; and brother, Orville Sheeder. Funeral services will be held at Maresh-Meredith and Acklam Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 16, 2000, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Richard J. Stoffel officiating. Interment will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 until 7 p.m. and at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service.
